Master of Arts - Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages

The Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages provides students with essential skills to address both theoretical and practical challenges associated with teaching English as a foreign or second language. Students have the option to either complete a dissertation or compile a portfolio during the second stage of the course.

The full-time program is structured throughout the year, with three modules offered in each academic semester. Following completion of the modules, students will assemble a professional practice portfolio or write a dissertation during the summer.

The course offers a range of engaging modules, including communicative language teaching, grammatical analysis, discourse analysis for language teaching, methods for classroom teaching, professional reflective practice, research methods for applied linguistics, second language acquisition, and vocabulary teaching and learning.
