Bachelor of Arts - Chemistry

Chemistry deals with everything in the material world and with all living things at their most fundamental level, molecular and atomic. A thorough background is provided in the five branches of chemistry - analytical, biochemical, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry. Theory taught in the classroom is applied in undergraduate laboratory classes and research projects.

Chemistry is an experimental science that seeks to understand the structure and function of molecules. Chemists synthesize new materials, and study their properties and how they interact with other compounds. The Bachelor of Arts degree is less strongly focused on research and prepares students for professional degrees like medicine, dentistry and pharmacy.
