Bachelor of Science - Chemistry - Polymer

As one of the physical sciences, chemistry deals with the nature and properties of matter at the most fundamental level — molecular and atomic. In determining the properties and composition of matter, chemists are often able to develop new materials and find practical uses for them.

The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry - Polymer Option provides students with a greater concentration in chemistry and is accredited by the American Chemical Society. Coursework prepares them for advanced study in chemistry or a career in industry or government.

Undergraduates are encouraged to do independent research in a field such as organic, inorganic or polymer synthesis, nanotechnology, drug design, laser spectroscopy or environmental analysis.
