3-Term (Extended) Undergraduate Foundation Program - Life Sciences - Continue to - Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Forensic Psychology

The Undergraduate Foundation Program in Life Science program is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to a wide range of undergraduate studies at the University of Central Lancashire.

The Foundation portion of this program lasts one academic year (nine months). The year is divided into three terms of seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week. On average, students will undertake 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week.

There are four academic pathways to choose from and candidates will study the pathway most suited to their chosen progression degree. Academic skills relevant to the specific subject area will be taught to fully prepare them for university study. The pathways are: Business, Economics, Finance and Management, Engineering and  Physical Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences and Life Sciences.

This course will provide students with a broad understanding of Psychology relating to Law and the Criminal Justice System. The comprehensive nature of the course means that the students will have the opportunity to learn about expert testimony, eyewitness accounts of crime, rehabilitation, domestic and honour based violence, lie detection, crime prevention and many other areas of Forensic Psychology and in-depth understanding of Forensic Psychology will be underpinned by an understanding of the core areas of Psychology
