About Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - International Business Management
Program Description
Students will benefit from real-life work experience throughout their studies. Enjoy learning from industry speakers, global examples and business simulations. Develop the skills that employers are looking for.
In the first year, students will gain an understanding of the business environment and develop fundamental management skills in marketing, people and organisations, and finance.
In year two, students will translate this management knowledge to the wider world and gain a solid understanding of the challenging international business environment. Aspects such as globalisation, cultural variation and the challenges of different geographical, political and economic factors are addressed.
Students will start to shape their career path by choosing an aspect of international business and get on-the-job experience in a work placement that suits their personal ambitions.
The final year is even more tailored towards giving students the competitive edge they need to enter the area of business they want. Students will carry out an original supervised research project into a subject they select and complete a module designed to maximise individual professional success. Most of what students study will be anchored to today’s international business world – the top global companies and emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence and financial innovation.
The University of Chester recommends that students visit their business campus, which is both state of the art and welcoming. Only minutes from Chester’s historic city centre, and nestled alongside the banks of the River Dee, this is a special and unique place that will enable students to flourish and grow from undergraduate student to confident business professional.
