About Master of Science - Adult Nursing (B742)
This route of entry is designed for those who already hold an undergraduate degree. For the MSc version of this course students will complete a dissertation on a topic of their choosing. University of Dundee's aim is to help students develop into a compassionate and knowledgeable registered adult nurse, ready to take on the exciting challenge of working in any modern healthcare environment.
Students will be based in Kirkcaldy, the second largest town in Fife, 30 miles from Dundee. The Kirkcaldy Campus has a community feel and its own clinical skills centre. They have strong links with NHS Fife, where most of the students placements will be.
Nurses work as part of a team alongside doctors, therapists, pharmacists, and healthcare assistants. Students will spend 50% of their time learning on campus and the other 50% on placements in hospitals and community settings. Placements are completed in a wide variety of hospital, community, and other settings to allow students to care for patients and their families with wide-ranging acute and long term conditions.
