About Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Education, Inclusion, and Special Educational Needs with Integrated Foundation (X362)

The Bachelor of Arts in Education, Inclusion, and Special Educational Needs with Integrated Foundation lets students develop a broad understanding and awareness of the issues, concepts, ideas and theories that relate to education. The University of Gloucestershire's work with them to identify their own interests in the field of inclusion and special education – supporting them to work towards their own personal career goals.

Graduates will explore a range of inclusion and special educational needs issues, including specific profiles like Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), attachment, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), mental health and dyslexia. They will also develop their own personal values and philosophies, while debating the opportunities and challenges for inclusion.

Lectures are interactive with plenty of discussion – which is often built upon group tasks, case studies and scenarios. They will be encouraged to develop their own perspective on inclusion and special educational needs, as well as broader educational issues linked to social justice and sustainability.
