The University of Gloucestershire's Bachelor of Arts in Illustration with Integrated Foundation scored 96% for academic support in the National Student Survey 2023. The University is a community of illustrators that tell stories through images that emphasizes curiosity and innovation in their approach to illustration, and embrace mistakes as part of their process.
The first year is an open approach to learning that will allow graduates to find what drives their practice. The second year explores audience, the wider world, and their place in it as an artist. In the third year students develop practice-based research methods and bring to life an independent project for the degree show.
The University's modern design facilities include printmaking studios, an Apple Mac suite, Risograph machine, letterpress workshop and book-binding equipment. The University encourage graduates to explore illustration through all kinds of media and they can also learn on their laser cutters, 3D printers, and have access to the University woodshop and ceramics studio.
