Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Psychology (C800)

The University of Gloucestershire's Bachelor of Science in Psychology is accredited by the British Psychological Society, and so is students' first step towards becoming a chartered psychologist working in areas such as forensic, health and clinical psychology.

The abilities students develop will also serve them well in related areas such as teaching, human resources, health and social care, and research. They will have opportunities to examine topics such as what brain events occur during a phobic reaction, how to maintain psychological wellbeing, and why some people are psychopaths.

Graduates in the first year will cover the core conceptual frameworks in psychology, how to investigate psychological questions, and ways that psychology can help people in everyday life. In their second and third years they will choose from a range of specialist topics – from psychology of forensics and wellbeing to gender, sexuality and cognitive neuroscience.
