Bachelor of Arts - Physical Education - Teaching

A major in physical education teaching prepares learners to teach K-12 physical education in public and private schools. As one of the oldest and largest physical education teaching programs in the Midwest, preparing PE teachers is part of the University of Northern Iowa’s legacy. With class sizes of 25 students or less, superb facilities for activity classes and labs, and the in-depth field experience graduates can expect from Teacher Education, they will feel fully supported as they work to achieve their degree.

As with all teaching majors, students will find themselves in a classroom — or at a gym or on the field — early in their education.
