About Bachelor of Science - Manufacturing Engineering Technology - Manufacturing Design
In the design lab or on the production floor, the University of Northern Iowa's Manufacturing Engineering Technology majors are the ones that make things happen – the applied expert between the engineer and the craftsman.
The program prepares students for exciting careers in research and development, engineering, materials testing, quality control and more. With three different emphasis areas in Metal Casting, Design and Advanced Manufacturing, they can choose classes that fit their goals and interests.
Students will have the chance to work in the University of Northern Iowa's outstanding facilities, including: a full production lab, an internationally recognized Metal Casting Center, and the Additive Manufacturing Center, which is a recognized world leader in research and development in the additive manufacturing industry.
With an emphasis in computer-aided drafting and design, students receive training in engineering analysis, product research and development, as well as mathematics, science, manufacturing management, industrial materials and processes.
