About 3.5-Term Pathway - Undergraduate Foundation Program - Humanities and Social Sciences - Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Philosophy

At ONCAMPUS Reading, students are provided with the opportunity to prepare for degree study and are assured progression to a variety of undergraduate degrees at the University of Reading. This program is specially tailored for international students who have finished their senior secondary education, with the goal of assisting them in gaining entry into undergraduate studies at the University of Reading. Upon successful completion of the University Foundation Program with the required level of achievement in all academic areas and the necessary English language score, students will automatically move on to an undergraduate program at the University of Reading. The University Foundation Program is set at NQF level 3, which is equivalent to A level standard in the United Kingdom.

Most programs last for one academic year, divided into three terms consisting of seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week. On average, students will participate in 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week.

BA Philosophy degree
Studying philosophy at the University of Reading equips students with the ability to think logically, evaluate arguments critically, and challenge both their own ideas and those of other people. Students gain an understanding of the central philosophical principles, concepts, problems, texts, and figures. 

They are taught by leading experts within the Department of Philosophy, whose research strengths lie especially in moral philosophy and the philosophy of the mind and language. Students also have the chance to study non-Western philosophies, particularly Indian philosophy.
