3.5-Term Pathway - Undergraduate Foundation Program - Life Sciences - Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Pharmaceutical Chemistry (with a Year in Industry or Research)

At ONCAMPUS Reading, students can prepare for undergraduate studies and are guaranteed progression to various undergraduate degrees at the University of Reading. This program is designed for international students who have completed their senior secondary education, helping them gain entry into undergraduate programs at the University of Reading. Upon completion of the University Foundation Program with the required academic achievements and English language proficiency, students automatically transition to an undergraduate program at the University of Reading. The University Foundation Program is set at NQF level 3, equivalent to A-level standard in the United Kingdom.

Most programs span one academic year, divided into three terms of seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week. Typically, students engage in approximately 21 to 25 hours of classroom-based study each week.

The newly introduced Pharmaceutical Chemistry degree, developed in collaboration with industrial partners, aims to produce highly skilled graduates for the pharmaceutical sector. This industry employs approximately 67,000 individuals in the UK and contributes £30.4bn to the national economy annually. Beyond the traditional focus on organic chemistry, the program encompasses a comprehensive range of chemistry and biology disciplines. Accordingly, it addresses the evolving demands of this modern and expanding industry.
