3-Term Pathway - Undergraduate Foundation Program - Art & Design - Continue to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Art and Philosophy

At ONCAMPUS Reading, students are provided with the opportunity to prepare for degree study and are guaranteed progression to a variety of undergraduate degrees at the University of Reading. The program is specifically designed for international students who have completed senior secondary education, aiming to prepare them for entry into undergraduate studies at the University of Reading. Successful completion of the University Foundation Program at the required level in all academic areas and achieving the necessary English language score will allow students to automatically advance to a suitable undergraduate program at the University of Reading. The University Foundation Program is set at NQF level 3, equivalent to A level standard in the United Kingdom.

Most programs last for one academic year, divided into three terms consisting of seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week. Students can expect to engage in 21 to 25 hours of classroom-based study per week on average.

The BA in Art and Philosophy offered by the Department of Philosophy focuses on developing students’ logical thinking skills, critical evaluation of arguments, and ability to challenge ideas. The program covers central philosophical principles, concepts, problems, texts, and figures. Students will learn from leading experts specializing in moral philosophy, philosophy of the mind and language, and have the opportunity to explore non-Western philosophies, particularly Indian philosophy.
