3-Term Pathway - Undergraduate Foundation Program - Life Sciences - Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Food Science

At ONCAMPUS Reading, students are provided with the opportunity to prepare for degree study and are assured progression to a variety of undergraduate degrees at the University of Reading. The program is specifically designed for international students who have completed their senior secondary education, aiming to help them gain entry into undergraduate studies at the University of Reading. Upon successful completion of the University Foundation Program with the required level of achievement in all academic areas and the necessary English language score, students will automatically transition to an undergraduate program at the University of Reading. The University Foundation Program is set at NQF level 3, which is equivalent to A level standard in the United Kingdom.

Most programs last for one academic year, divided into three terms consisting of seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week. On average, students will participate in 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week.

The three-year Food Science course will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of food production processes. Students will acquire essential knowledge and skills in food microbiology, biochemistry and metabolism, food processing and engineering, product development, and human physiology and nutrition.
