International Direct - Bachelor of Arts - Women's and Gender Studies

The Bachelor of Arts in Women’s and Gender Studies will teach students to examine gender and its intersections with race, class and other important social identities. The University of South Carolina's comprehensive curriculum includes a wide variety of courses, including some that will take them out of the classroom and into the community.

The Department of Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of South Carolina promotes an understanding of the experiences of women and other underrepresented groups through a complete program of teaching, research, and service to the University, the local community, the state, the nation and the global community. Through its research mission, the program re-conceptualizes knowledge, creates new knowledge, and reinterprets existing knowledge through the lens of gender and the prism of diversity.
