Program Description
This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In your International Foundation Year, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.
In the International Foundation Year in Sciences & Engineering, you will explore and begin to understand the power of engineering and science in the real world. While you begin to learn the technical aspects of your desired degree program you will also be provided with a critical outlook and approach employers want in your chosen field.
At Sussex, you learn from experts who are tackling some of society’s biggest biological issues, from research into cancer treatments to the declining bee population.
You can choose from a wide range of modules, based on the latest research, to tailor your degree to your interests.
Your integrated Masters year means you develop advanced research skills.
Outside of the laboratory, you can apply your practical skills through fieldwork – we offer amazing field trips to Wales, Portugal, Southern Africa, the Red Sea and Ecuador. This gives you real-world research experience before you graduate.
