About Master of Science - Electrical Engineering - Mechatronics Concentration

The Master of Science in Electrical Engineering program provides an engineering science-intensive approach to increase students’ understanding and problem-solving abilities. Offering concentrations to tailor the field of study, the MS in Electrical Engineering is directed toward both full-time and part-time students with a special emphasis on providing training, experience in performing independent research on topics with theoretical as well as applied interest, and managing projects.

High-technology industries are an important sector of the economy, and an MS in Electrical Engineering will prepare students to meet industry demands in expertise, time management, and ethical practices. Concentrations in mechatronics, electrical, and computer engineering will allow them to specialize in an area of industry that suits their interests. Not only will students learn the advanced techniques and skills electrical engineers require, they will also learn to become an innovator and problem solver of the global issues impacting our society.

To satisfy requirements for an advanced degree in electrical engineering, students will take four core courses in Engineering Management or Project Management, Design of Experiments, System Integration, and Advanced Electrical Engineering Analysis.
