Bachelor of Engineering Science - Mechanical Engineering (EE)

Program Description

All Engineering students will complete a common first year, meaning all students take the same courses allowing them to experience various disciplines of engineering before deciding on an area of specialization. After completing the common first year, students will enroll in one of nine programs. During the common first year, students will solve real engineering problems. They will be provided with the fundamentals needed for success in upper years, while exploring various engineering disciplines. 

After completing Western Engineering’s Common First Year, students can enroll in the Mechanical Engineering program. Courses are designed to provide students with a strong knowledge base in the core areas of mechanical engineering. In fourth year, they will complete a major Mechanical Engineering Design Project, working closely with faculty members and industry partners. This capstone course is an opportunity for students to address real-world design problems using the concepts and practices they have learned. 

NOTE: Please note the English scores listed are minimum requirements. Meeting the minimums does not guarantee admission. Students with low English scores may be admitted to the English BOOST Program, a 9 week training program for conditional admission to their chosen program.
