About Bachelor of Arts - Supply Chain Management

The global supply chain impacts each of the people directly. Understanding the core competencies of the full breadth of the supply chain is essential to being successful in this industry. Avila University 120 credit hour Bachelor of Arts in Supply Chain allows students to learn not only the quantitative aspects of the supply chain but also the human factor. Calculating the need and speed of the supply chain is critically important, and the courses in the program will allow students to gain those practical skills. In addition, Avila’s program will allow students to blend management, leadership, and human resource concepts into the work of the supply chain.

In addition to the university-wide outcomes, all graduates from the School of Innovation will meet the following outcomes:

  • Develop and analyze innovative solutions for problems using critical and creative reasoning.
  • Demonstrate the ability to clearly communicate in professional settings using effective interpersonal, teamwork, cultural, presentational, and writing skills.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of ethical frameworks and theories and how to apply them in professional situations.

Supply Chain Management Outcomes

Students graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Supply Chain Management will have met the following outcomes:

  • Understand the strategic importance of the principle functions and interactions within the supply chain.
  • Understand project management, procurement and other issues, risks and opportunities that manager’s face at all levels of the supply chain.
  • Know and apply the quantitative models that support and evaluate quality performance throughout the supply chain.
