An Extended Master's helps international students get familiar with Master's study through a preparation phase in the summer before the main course starts. This course is designed for those who are interested and passionate about education. Whether students are in a professional role looking to progress in their career or they are wanting to embark onto doctoral study, this Masters in Education course offers a dynamic and progressive curriculum that will enhance students' critical awareness and deepen their understanding. This course is designed for those who are interested and passionate about education.
Students will engage with theories about learning for both children and adults, which they will then critically reflect upon as an educator, leader, or stakeholder. Critical thinking, research, and evidence-informed practice are embedded throughout the curriculum to enhance their critical awareness of the subject. What’s more, students will undertake self-reflection as this degree challenges them to reflect and review values and philosophies of education and learning as they draw upon their own practice as part of this education masters course. This key element of the course will allow students to progress as an educator as they engage with innovative research and multiple perspectives.
