Program Description
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) is a program for students to study computers, computer software and computation systems including their theory, design, development, and application.
The Bachelor of Science degree program in Computer Science is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET.
The major difference in math/science requirements between Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) and Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science (BACS) is that BSCS requires students to take higher level math and science courses. On the other hand, the students in the BACS program take general education level math and science courses. Furthermore, BSCS covers all aspects of computing, including theoretical foundations, software and systems, and BACS focuses more on software development.
