Dual Degree - Bachelor of Science - Software Development & Master of Business Administration (MBA)

The B.S. in Software Development degree is designed to provide students with the skills needed to develop, create, and modify enterprise software or specialized utility programs. The Software Development concentration teaches students to identify issues and problems, collect and analyze data, and summarize and present findings. 

The Software Development concentration specifically prepares students to develop a wide array of computer software including enterprise applications (apps), mobile apps, web apps, games, and software to integrate systems. In smaller organizations, software professionals may be responsible for the design, development, testing, and training for a software project. In larger organizations, they may be involved in only one or two of these areas. Given the rapid changes in the industry regarding software languages, tools, and techniques, continuous professional development is critical in this field. In pursuing the B.S. in Software Development, students will be expected to solve business problems using critical thinking skills, become effective business and technology communicators, become proficient at developing and delivering software solutions, and develop a strong ethical awareness within the context of business. Students will also need to meet the program objectives of the MBA program.
