Bachelor of Engineering - Software Engineering (Co-op)

The unique structure of Lakehead’s programs at the Thunder Bay campus enables students to earn a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Software Engineering in four years while also completing the requirements of a Software Engineering Technology Diploma by the end of the second year of their BEng degree program.

The unique combination of BEng degree with a Diploma in Engineering Technology from Lakehead University produces graduates with hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge critical to success.

The special design of the 4-year Bachelor of Engineering degree in Software Engineering at the Lakehead University Thunder Bay campus enables qualified engineering technology graduates from accredited Canadian technology programs to enter the BEng program after completing post-diploma transition courses offered in the summer session prior to third year. The Summer Transition program, offered in July and August, is designed to assist qualified engineering technologists make the transition to university studies.
