Business Foundation Year for Progression to International Year One

The new May 2025 International Foundation Year (IFY) in Business is available at Liverpool John Moores University ISC. This pathway enables students to progress to the International Year One (IY1) in Business in January 2026 and then advance to Year 2 of their undergraduate degree by September 2026, allowing them to graduate on time with their peers in 2028.

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) – Events Management

The BA (Hons) Events Management course at Liverpool John Moores University offers students exciting opportunities to manage a range of different events and gain essential professional experience. The program prepares students for excellent career prospects in the arts, culture and music, exhibitions and venues, tourism, and hospitality industries.

Event management roles require individuals who are level-headed, well-organized, enthusiastic, creative, and dynamic. Teamwork is crucial for running successful events, and in the second year of the program, students have the opportunity to create, develop, and manage their own live event as part of a team, working with real clients, venues, and attendees.

The events industry encompasses festivals, meetings, conventions, exhibitions, and sports events, and students will have numerous opportunities to experience different types of events through field trips, attending live events, and engaging with expert guest speakers.

Students will also gain hands-on experience working for various clients at locations and venues across the country. Liverpool’s thriving events scene offers an ideal backdrop for the program, with notable events such as Sound City, Africa Oye, the World Gymnastics Championships 2022, Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF), and The Good Business Festival highlighting the city’s significant role in the events industry.
