Business Foundation Year for Progression to International Year One

The new May 2025 International Foundation Year (IFY) in Business is available at Liverpool John Moores University ISC. This pathway enables students to progress to the International Year One (IY1) in Business in January 2026 and then advance to Year 2 of their undergraduate degree by September 2026, allowing them to graduate on time with their peers in 2028.

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) – Marketing

The CIM-accredited BA (Hons) Marketing program at Liverpool John Moores University equips students with the skills, knowledge, and practical experience needed to pursue various roles within the marketing profession.

A career in marketing demands creativity, excellent organizational skills, and an analytical mindset. This degree combines cutting-edge marketing theory with practical skills, helping students develop the high level of competence required to excel in the marketing field.

Liverpool John Moores University has been teaching marketing for over 30 years and has built a strong reputation for its teaching staff, who are recognized for their industry experience, commitment to students, and strong industry connections.

An additional advantage of this degree is the option for students to undertake either a year abroad or a year in industry between their second and third years of study. The optional industry year allows students to complete a 48-week paid work placement in the UK or overseas, enabling them to apply concepts and techniques learned in the first two years, develop personal skills, and enhance their CV. Students who complete the placement year often experience significant improvements in their academic performance, with many achieving first-class honours degrees. Many students also return to work for their placement company after graduation.

Alternatively, students may choose to study abroad at one of Liverpool John Moores University’s partner institutions. Liverpool Business School partners with business schools at universities and colleges across Europe, the USA, and China. Students in this program have the opportunity to spend an additional year of study at a partner university between their second and third years. All study abroad opportunities are conducted in English.

Liverpool Business School also supports various activities at partner universities during summer vacations and offers free language skills courses to students.

Students must choose between the study abroad option or the industry placement year; both options are mutually exclusive. Alternatively, students may choose to continue directly to their final year after completing their second year of study.
