Business Foundation Year for Progression to International Year One
The new May 2025 International Foundation Year (IFY) in Business is available at Liverpool John Moores University ISC. This pathway enables students to progress to the International Year One (IY1) in Business in January 2026 and then advance to Year 2 of their undergraduate degree by September 2026, allowing them to graduate on time with their peers in 2028.
Bachelor of Arts (Honours) – Sports Business
The BA (Hons) Sport Business program at Liverpool John Moores University offers excellent placement opportunities and strong graduate career prospects in the fast-paced and flourishing sports industry.
This program is designed to meet industry needs and is facilitated through working partnerships between LJMU staff, students, external employers, and subject specialists.
The program explores a variety of subjects and disciplines, including marketing, entrepreneurship, digital skills, sponsorship and PR, sports management, sports law, sports digital media, sports events, grassroots sport, and elite sport.
Students can explore Sport Business on Instagram to view the latest student field trips, placements, and industry guest speakers.
Employability and enterprise are key elements of this program. Students have access to a range of opportunities to engage in work-related learning, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings, develop professional networks, and enhance their graduate skill set.
Liverpool John Moores University has links with over 450 employers in the North West alone, and the Sport Business program works closely with these employers to develop work placement and project opportunities across all levels of the degree. The university maintains partnerships with Liverpool Football Club and Everton Football Club and is actively involved with the Merseyside County Sport Partnership, National Governing Bodies of Sport, and Liverpool City Council.
Key contacts with local community sports clubs provide an excellent base for students to regularly learn and develop their sport business skills. LJMU continually liaises with and engages industry leaders at a senior level to ensure the program remains cutting-edge and aligned with industry standards.
