The 2-Semester Pathway - Undergraduate Foundation Programme - Humanities and Social Sciences is a one-year programme offers successful students guaranteed progression to Loughborough University. This programme is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at the university.

The International Foundation Programme is set at level 3, which is equivalent to A-level standard in the United Kingdom. The two semester programme lasts one academic year [nine months]. Each semester includes, on average, 13 teaching weeks, one reading week and one assessment week. On average, students will undertake 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week. This programme includes English and three academic subject modules. English will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects, as well as being taught separately if they need additional support to develop their English language. They will be assessed at regular intervals throughout the programme to ensure they are making the progress required to successfully complete the programme. Full assessment of the programme will take place in the final semester. Assessment methodologies are aligned to those that will be experienced in the University environment, and include project work, essays, and presentations.

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - English with Business Studies has been specifically designed for those who are passionate about language and literature, and also wish to learn the theory behind setting up and running a business. Needless to say, this course is a great opportunity for those who are interested in setting up and running their own company in the creative industries. For the English part of the degree students will have the opportunity to study modules in language, poetry, literary theory, creative writing, and literature from the Renaissance period to the 21st century. The tutors are recognised for their expertise in areas such as contemporary texts and theory, culture and communication, creative writing, and literature from the 16th century to the present day. The business component of the English with Business Studies will start by introducing them to the key areas of business, focusing on commercial law, structure and organisation, and management of human resources.
