Crop Science focuses on the study of food and fiber production, emphasizing crop physiology, genetics, soil science, economics, and experimental statistics. This concentration provides a solid background in the basic sciences for students interested in pursuing graduate studies. Graduates of the program are well-prepared for careers as producers, consultants, crop production specialists, farm managers, plant breeders, and roles in extension and state regulatory agencies.
