About Bachelor of Design
Become a 21st-century designer. Learn to explore a problem, understand people’s needs and behaviours and craft solutions that persuade, inform, motivate or entertain. In this Bachelor of Design degree, students are introduced to new ways of seeing and thinking about design.
Through a balance of practice-based, hands-on research and theory-driven coursework, students learn to solve communication problems through effective design. They can focus on visual communication design or digital experience design or create a pathway that suits their interests.
Note: Students may choose to exit the Bachelor of Design with a Graphic Design Diploma after the successful completion of a specified 60 credits of the degree. In their coursework, students learn basic design skills, the principles of visual organization and composition and the historical context for the work they create. The curriculum enhances their creativity while preparing students with technical knowledge.
