About Bachelor of Arts - Communication - Journalism
The Journalism concentration within the Communication major is designed to stir and enrich students' curiosity, resourcefulness, and concern about the issues of the day. Students will study the history, literature, and law of their field, and they will graduate with years of hands-on journalism experience to ensure students' success upon entering the industry.
Learning Outcomes:
- Create quality works of journalism across multiple platforms and work effectively in the collaborative atmosphere of the newsroom.
- Analyze the complex ethical journalism landscape in the digital age and develop strategies for moral decision making.
- Evaluate the performance of the press and its functioning in a democratic society and produce critical analyses of the press and its best practices.
