Program Description
The Earth is facing major environmental challenges such as climate change, loss of biodiversity and over-exploitation of natural resources.
Addressing these issues requires effective legal and policy tools, internationally, nationally, and locally. The course will offer students a broad range of knowledge, covering the structures, principles, and institutions of environmental law, both at the domestic and the international levels.
Students will develop the skills needed to pursue a career in this area of law and policy. Knowledge of environmental law is of increasing relevance for the commercial world.
This course gives students an understanding of the main legal issues related to environmental protection and sustainable development. The choice of modules and dissertation topics allow students to focus on the environmental and sustainability issues that are important to them.
