Bachelor of Science - Marketing (N501)

Students' first year provides an introduction to essential business topics such as entrepreneurship, accounting, finance, management and marketing. Upon graduation, students will have the flexibility to continue their career in marketing, or pursue roles in other areas of business.

Students undertake an independent research project in their final year, where they explore an area of marketing of their choice to build their marketing portfolio before they enter this fast-paced sector.

The University of Essex is one of just three UK universities to have received Q-Step Affiliate status, including for their BSc Marketing, to support the way university develop the quantitative skills of its graduates.

This means University of Essex can provide work placement bursaries to develop students' skills in evaluating numerical evidence, analysing data and designing research. The University also offer the opportunity to follow a specialised degree path, where students graduate with enhanced quantitative skills. These are evidenced on their degree transcript, to help give them the competitive edge in the graduate job market.
