Bachelor of Science - Education - Adolescent/Young Adult Integrated Life Science

Program Description

Work hands-on with cells, animals and people with students gain a degree in AYA Life Science from the University of Findlay! Life sciences explore living things and their interactions with the world. Students who chose this education path can teach traditional courses such as biology or anatomy, or more unique courses such as animal sciences or environmental science. Classwork is comprised of education core courses and science courses. The education core focuses on teaching methodologies and practices for teaching science. The science coursework includes classes in: biology, anatomy, chemistry, geology, and oceanus. 

Findlay students benefit from field experiences outside campus beginning in their first year. Over four years of courses, students engage in over 1000 hours of fieldwork with exposure to a  variety of districts and classrooms.
