Master of Arts - Legal Studies

The Master of Arts in Legal Studies addresses the needs of many professionals for a comprehensive understanding of the legal system, within the framework of an interdisciplinary liberal arts education.

The master's degree students work with professors, not teaching assistants. The University of Illinois - Springfield offer small class sizes to facilitate learning and clinical education opportunities. The program is particularly suited for the United States students who are pursuing professions where practical knowledge of the law and legal system is required, including those who participate in judicial processes as witnesses, investigators, or resource persons; enforce compliance with the law; work with legal forms or requirements; or need to know about the affect of legal regulations on businesses.
