3-Term Pathway - International Foundation Programme in Human and Social Sciences - Continue to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Economics

The International Foundation Programme – Human and Social Sciences enables students to understand a range of areas. They will develop their communication skills whilst taking specific modules relating to their further degree study.

The International Year Zero (IYZ) is the first year of a 4-year International Incorporated Bachelors (IIB). The first year is taught at University of Kent International College (UK IC). Once students successfully complete this year, they will continue studying the remaining stages of their degree at University of Kent.

Examine some of today’s profound pressing issues – poverty and development, environmental protection, and financial and monetary crises. In an era of Big Data, new technologies, and artificial intelligence, students can discover the solutions to shape their world.

By analysing real-world events and studying the principles of economics, students will gain the skills and tools to make a difference in the world around them, and open doors to a variety of employment opportunities. Recent graduates have gone on to work for Deloitte, HMRC, Goldman Sachs, Barclays and more.

Choose to specialise in areas such as international finance, industrial and monetary economics, and the economics of money and banking. The wide range of modules allows students to tailor their Bachelor of Science (Honours) Economics to support their specific career ambitions.
