3-Term Pathway - Undergraduate Foundation Program - Business - Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Economics and Finance

At ONCAMPUS Reading, students are given the opportunity to prepare for degree study with guaranteed progression to a variety of undergraduate degrees at the University of Reading. The program is specifically designed for international students who have completed senior secondary education, aiming to help them gain entry to undergraduate studies at the University of Reading. Upon successful completion of the University Foundation Program with the required level of attainment in all academic areas and the necessary English language score, students will be able to seamlessly transition to a suitable undergraduate program at the University of Reading. The University Foundation Program is set at NQF level 3, equivalent to A level standard in the United Kingdom.

The majority of programs at ONCAMPUS Reading last for one academic year, divided into three terms consisting of seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week. Students typically engage in 21 to 25 hours of classroom-based study per week.

One of the undergraduate degrees available for progression is the BSc Economics and Finance degree. This three-year course offers a comprehensive foundation in economics and financial systems, allowing students to apply economic theories to real-world issues in financial markets. Students will explore questions such as how investors make investment decisions, the causes of the 2007-2008 financial crisis, and measures to prevent future crises. Specialized topics covered include financial economics, financial modeling, and corporate finance.
