Upon completion of the pathway portion of this program, you will enter the Sport and Exercise Science program at the University of Surrey. You will be introduced to a variety of key transferable skills and will study several different topics such as the theoretical knowledge and practical application of scientific principles relating to physiology, biochemistry, nutrition, biomechanics and psychology, to maximise sports performance and improve general health and wellbeing through exercise. The University of Surrey's BSc Sport and Exercise Science course builds on the university's multidisciplinary strengths in these areas. Students will benefit from the exceptional facilities based at our £36 million Surrey Sports Park and extracurricular opportunities to assist with athlete support, patient exercise referral, research project development and delivery, educational workshops and outreach projects. The course is endorsed by the Register of Exercise Professionals, enabling you to complete gym instructor, personal training and exercise referral qualifications by undertaking vocational fitness assessments.
