Business Foundation Year for Progression to International Year One

The new May 2025 International Foundation Year (IFY) in Business is available at Liverpool John Moores University ISC. This pathway enables students to progress to the International Year One (IY1) in Business in January 2026 and then advance to Year 2 of their undergraduate degree by September 2026, allowing them to graduate on time with their peers in 2028.

Bachelor of Science (Honours) – Accounting and Finance

The BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance program at Liverpool John Moores University offers students the opportunity to secure professional accreditation from the four main accountancy bodies in England and Wales.

The program provides a head start on the path to gaining a professional accountancy qualification by offering exemptions from several UK professional accountancy exams.

One of the key benefits of the course is the option to take a year out to complete a paid industry placement, either in the UK or overseas. For students who prefer not to take a full year away from their studies, there are alternative opportunities for work-related learning.

Students in this program also have the opportunity to spend one or two semesters in their second year on the identical LJMU degree program at the partner college in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, maintaining the professional body recognition of their studies at LJMU. Liverpool Business School has partnerships with business schools at universities and colleges across Europe, the USA, and China. Students may choose to spend an additional year of study at one of these partner universities between their second and third years. All study abroad opportunities are conducted in English.

Additionally, students have access to various supported study opportunities at partner universities during summer vacations, and Liverpool Business School offers places on language skills courses.
