About Bachelor of Science - Agriculture - Plant and Soil Sciences - Crop Production Management (BSAG)
Plant and soil sciences graduates are crucial to meeting society’s need for food, livestock feed, fiber and fuel through the conservation and management of plant and soil resources.
Plant and soil sciences majors' learning experience will include field-based classes, numerous laboratory experiments, non-traditional classroom settings and hands-on learning. Students can work alongside faculty in areas such as biotechnology, crop production, environmental remediation, plant breeding and genetics, plant physiology, soil chemistry, soil nutrient management, soil physics, water quality and weed science.
The crop production and management option is designed for students who are interested in growing crops and forage and passionate about fulfilling the food, feed, fiber and fuel needs of a growing planet. The crop production and management option will teach students how to properly implement techniques and prosper in the field.
